Custom Bathroom
Mosaic Design

I was able to work with our National Accounts department to create a custom mosaic design for the Radisson Red hotel, located in Minneapolis, MN.

We worked with various concepts for the mosaics by illustrating icons depicting what the city is known for - including the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture. After much deliberation, we all decided on a 2D image of a deer head that I mapped out.

I fine tuned the sketches, and we sent it out to our factory to produce. Most traditional mosaics are created by individually laying out the tiles to create an overall image. Instead, this mosaic was created in 9 different sections, which were easily able to be laid out and grouted within the hotel’s 150+ bathrooms.
